Compass Church Holiday Schedule
Thanksgiving Celebration: Sunday Nov 20th
We'll have a potluck meal immediately following the Sunday service. Then after the meal, we'll decorate the church for Christmas.
Advent Starts: Sunday November 27th
We will do a reading each Sunday leading up to Christmas, accompanied by a lighting of the candles.
Serve Day: Saturday Dec 3rd - 7:00 am - 5:00pm
Compass Church and Faith It To Make It come together to go out and serve.
For our serve this year we have decided to do maintenance and repair on Barbara Weathington's home.
We will all meet at the church, get everyone lined out with service duties, and then head out to Barbara's place to start work. Some people will hang back at the church getting lunch ready and in prayer.
Should be a great time of service.
Christmas Party and Caroling: Wed. Dec 14th 5:00 pm
This is a potluck style meal. We will have dinner at the church at 5:00pm. We will then hand out stockings to the kids. Following this, we will leave the church to go caroling around 6:00 pm. As of now our plans are to carol at the Beaumont Health Care Center.
Candlelight Service: Saturday Dec. 24th 5:30pm-6:30pm
Please invite friends and family to this service. We will be serving hot chocolate and cookies. We will have the traditional lighting of the candles.
Christmas Service: Sunday Dec 25th at 12 noon
This will be a very relaxed and informal service. We will have readings from the bible, interspersed with praise and worship songs backed by acoustic guitar. There will not be a sermon on this day.
Christmas music filled the air as we all gathered around the tables and threaded bobbles and beads into jewelry during Wed small groups. Some of us displayed more talent at this craft than others (Kathy P.), but all of us had fun doing it. ❤️ Small Group!
